Newcastle under Lyme is an expanding market town in North Staffordshire and historically has had a street market for over 800 years. As well as this there are more than 40 listed buildings in the town showing it’s been a place to visit and shop in for many years. 

As well as this history from a bygone age, there are the new developments around the town particularly the industrial parks that have attracted new big name employers to the town.  Some of the largest employers in the town include Allied Bakeries baking bread, loaves and rolls and Mr Kiplings with a main bakery producing Cherry Bakewells.
