Our full cleaning process includes everything from enamel top to the Aga plinth itself, such as; all the top and front enamel (flue, domes, doors),  chrome lids, top plates, lid hinges, lid liners, the doors, door liners, door tunnels, the oven cavities and of course the racks, cold shelf and top plate rings. So how do you clean Aga doors?

Since the first AGA was made in the UK (1930s) the door ‘tunnels’ (shiny strip inside between door and oven cavity), the top lid liners and the inner door liners have been made of Aluminium. 

Aluminium is a soft metal and “Impossible to clean without scratching“. So why do AGA still have the aluminium panels if they aren’t easy to clean? Well they will look amazing in the Aga showroom, with the shiny bits gleaming ready ‘for sale’. Maintenance is not Aga’s main concern after all.

The process we use is to rehydrate the carbon using our specifically designed products and a multi-step process slowly ‘lifting’ the grease and the carbon residue. This can take numerous applications depending how long the liners and tunnels have been left.

Blitz Oven Cleaning have cleaned many AGAs and managed to bring back the shine, but there is a slight cost, a slight/ fine scratch to the finish especially more so on older AGA cookers. Every customer however has accepted this opposed to having to stare at the light through to dark brown carbon deposits they have become accustomed to seeing. 

Finally, after all the grease deposits are removed we will carry out a complete sanitisation of the Aga, wet and dry clean before 'Finishing' this is where the effort and astonishing results come to life with enamel polish, chrome polish and the top plates are even finished to look new again. We can also touch-up any damaged enamel work and replace damaged Aga badges.
